What is the Move Movement?
This is our local initiative to get people moving! Walking, hiking, running, swimming, we support it all. As we live in a historically unhealthy area, we hope to promote awareness and motivation to simply MOVE!
See below for details.

MEET THE COACHES:
KAT - Kat has been running competitively since she was 9 years old, including high school athletics at Twinsburg High School and track and cross country at Marshall University from 2007-2011. She has competed in multiple events after college including trail races, half, and full marathons. She started the Move Movement in 2014 after realizing there was a lot of demand for running coaching. She is an RRCA Certified Running Coach and has coached 8 sessions of the Beginner Running Class, including over 200 participants. Kat currently manages Robert's Running Shop in Huntington.
ELLEN - Ellen competed in high school athletics in Parkersburg, WV where she excelled in soccer and running. Ellen and Kat were track and cross country teammates at Marshall University. Ellen graduated from the WVU College of Law in 2015 and practices law in Huntington, WV. Her favorite thing about coaching the Move Movement is "getting to know our amazing class members and seeing their accomplishments throughout the class."
NATALIE - Natalie took the Move Movement class in Spring 2016. Since then she has done a half marathon and multiple trail races. She understands better than anyone, the love/hate relationship some have with their running. Natalie says, "The fun part about working with the Move Movement is getting to work with a wide range of runners. We have beginners to those trying to step it up a bit. Even though there is a wide range, everyone comes together to encourage others to meet their goals. Seeing the runners challenge themselves and succeed throughout the whole course is rewarding."
